5 Ways to Make Money Online
As you may well know there’s plenty of money to be made on the web. There’s the old way of thinking as well as entire new markets that have opened up. Some folks have made a few hundred, others have replaced their day jobs, and still others have went on to make hundred’s of thousand and even millions with these ideas.

So what’s a person to do if they want to turn in their day job and start making money online? Well, there are plenty of options available, to say the least.

1. Freelance
If you’re a professional, can build a website, if you’re a programmer, coder, designer, or if you can perform data entry, you can get started working today. Right now in fact. Take a look at these folks happily making there entire living from home via oDesk.com Their all making anywhere from 10.00 to 30.00 on a project to project basis with plenty of hours under their belt. If oDesk.com isn’t for you, there are plenty of other opportunities out there. Here’s just a few. eLance.com employees a wide range of talent, from sales and marketing to legal, designers, programmers and just about everything in between. RentACoder.com currently has 2,369 currently open bid requests. If you’re a designer and want to start making money right now you should consider these options, DesignOutpost.com or logoworks.com

2. Domain Name Business
Many people believe that the days of making money with domain names are long gone, they believe that because loans.com, and cars.com are gone that the money’s already been made. Gone are the day’s that you could register a domain and sell it for a quick million, but selling domains in the neighborhood of 15.00 to 7,000.00 and sometimes even more, is still quite viable and certainly not a bad income.

There are plenty of active market to sell domains and plenty of tools to find great domain names as well. If this idea peaks your curiosity, here’s how and where to get started. For selling as well as learning more about this business, stop by DNForums.com. This s a mature community with plenty of info regarding the domain business, and a great place to sell domain name.  You’ll also want to stop by the Domain forum at DigitalPoint.com. For finding newly expired and/or quality keyword domains, spend some time at Domainsbot.com, DomainTools.com and SaveSpell.com These are some of the best, but you’ll find even more once you get your feet wet. A few more resources to get familiar with if you’re interested in making some fast cash with domains, Sedo.com and Moniker.com

3. Flip Websites
Flipping website can be a lot of fun and a lot of work at the same time. The premise is the same as any other flipping business such as flipping homes or cars. Find websites with potential value, improve, monetize and sell for a profit.

Dave Hermansen Made over 170,000 on one flip. He was able to purchase BirdCage.com for 1800.00 and when he completed his renovations on the site, he sold it for 173,000.00. That’s over 170 thousand dollars in profit minus cost to improve the site.

If you’re web savvy or simple know how to bring in traffic and monetize a website this just might be the 21st century business for you. To get started take a look at Flippa.com for both buying and selling websites. Make sure to to visit the website sales section on eBay as well.

4. Build a Partner Store (No need for products!)
In the 21 century if you want a store, you get one. No need for products, inventory or overhead, in fact no real investment of any kind except your time, not any more. You simply need the desire to have a store and if you’re willing to work hard there are plenty of businesses that have grown up and are willing to supply you with any product you desire to sell. you gain a commission on every item.

Let me give you a few examples, how and where to get started. This business is loosely based on affiliate marketing but taken to a new level. You don’t even have to know how to  build a website to get started in this business. First visit Amazon.com affiliate program & register a new account. Next click on the “aStore” option, choose, your product line, design your store, and start promoting it! You have the option to sell just about anything under the sun and generate commissions on everything you sell.

Here’s an example of a store I just put together. A Sports Store of course this is a simple as it gets. You can frame your store anyway you like, you have nearly full control of the layout, colors etc. In fact you don’t have to have a web host, a domain name,  you don’t even have to know how to write code to get started! Another great option is to create a website that reviews products and use affiliate links to the products being reviewed. Every time someone reads the review and click through and makes a purchase you get paid!

In this competitive age you may well imagine that Amazon is not the only one providing this convenient way to make money. If you prefer you could get stared with an eBay store just as easily. No I don’t mean an eBay store where  you sell your own product but instead, where you sell other peoples stuff. Both amazon and eBay offer many options for creating store fronts, including there own API. Read more about the eBay Partner Network, you’re not too late in just got started in 2008! Top earners are making over 1 million a year!

5. Surveys for Cash
Making Money online, if you want to supplement your other online income, it’s not that hard to do. If you like giving your opinion on products and services you can generate 50.00, 100.00 or even a bit more each month.

Although there are claims, I don’t know that it’s really possible to make a full time income from surveys, but you can generate some extra fun money or bill money each month.

Use caution when signing up with survey companies. There are plenty of frauds out there that will take your personal information and sell it to corporations for a profit, leaving you with a mailbox full of spam! But, at the same time, there are quality survey companies out there as well. I’ve done a few surveys and have been paid from 2-5.00 per online survey some pay more others pay less, but if you enjoy this sort of thing it’s a fun way to pass some time and make some cash. Here’s a few survey companies that I’ve worked with and are trust worthy they won’t sell your information. GlobalMarketTest.com (fixed link) has been around since 1999 and has a great reputation. They send plenty of surveys, so it’s easy to hit the pay mark of 50.00 that’s the minimum payment they will send.

A few more quality survey companies MySurvey.com established for more that 40 years, they have a great reputation as well. If doing surveys  interested you then take a look at SurveySavvy.com owned and operated by Luth Research group and Toluna.com

The way most survey companies work is through a point system, you earn points from each survey you take, the points have a cash value or can be redeemed for prizes. With GlobalMarketTest each point is worth a nickle, and most surveys pay around 40-50 points.

This is just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to opportunities making money online. The key is to choose one idea and stick with. I think the reason many people fail when it comes to generating cash on the web, is there are so many options that it’s easy to jump around too much. Trying one idea, and then another, and then another never staying focused on the long term.

Another good one is writing or promoting (affiliate marketing) an ebook. This is a pretty solid list of some of the basic ways to make money online.

    Please. Learn to spell.

There – means a place, like here (which is part of the spelling, just add the “t” at the beginning).

Their – is possessive, when something belongs to them.

Some basic grammar lessons should also be taken.
